With the BFR (Brake Freewheel Reverse), there is a unique and patented system between the chain and the rear axle, specially developed for our BERG go-karts. This system allows the user to pedal, keep the pedals stationary while riding, use a back pedal brake and pedal in reverse after the go-kart has slowed down. This unique combination of features can only be found on BERG go-karts and is ideal for fast forward and reverse pedaling and braking.

You can choose from different BFR drives:

• BFR: Standard without gears
• BFR 3: BFR + 3 gears
• XXL-BFR: BFR + XXL-Frame for a body height from 1.25 meters and with eight instead of six different seat options
• XXL-BFR-3: BFR + XXL-Frame + 3 gears

And from different electric BFR drives:

• E-BFR: BFR + electric drive
• E-BFR-3: BFR + electric drive + 3 gears
• XXL-E-BFR: XXL-Frame + electric drive
• XXL-E-BFR-3: XXL-Frame+ electric drive + 3 gears

BERG go-karts are tested enormously extensively during development. We test internally that the go-karts are safe to use and comply with all regulations, that the parts are chemically free of toxic materials, are ergonomically correct and that the quality of the product is worthy of BERG. After the development of the go-kart, external testing agencies will check whether they agree with our findings. We market the products only if this is the case. All our go-karts are therefore CE certified and our smallest go-karts are also TUV certified.

All BERG go-karts have a Cradle to Cradle certificate. This means we know exactly where each component comes from, what materials have been used and that these materials are not toxic or polluting. This way we can be sure that the product is not harmful to your child and that we are not putting toxic materials into the environment.

Need to replace a go-kart component? For every component apart from frames, we offer spare parts. When a tire goes flat, the chain snaps or some other part breaks, it can all be fixed through a spare part. This also applies to parts that are damaged or lost. This naturally ensures that a BERG go-kart can be used for an enormously long time, which makes BERG go-karts very durable.

Just like a real car, your cool BERG Pedal Go-kart also needs a periodic technical inspection. Ask an adult to help you. You are the mechanic! Ready for the periodic technical inspection? 

Electric go-kart uses pedal assistance, so it takes almost no effort to accelerate smoothly and ride the go-kart nice and fast. The pedal assistance option is only available on our XXL go-karts. This electric toy uses an intelligent system, which provides the electric drive for the go-kart. In addition, the frame is also extra sturdy that contributes to safety.

Four different modes are available, namely ECO, TOUR, SPORT and TURBO. You can choose quiet pedal assistance which has the advantage that the go-kart's battery won't run down as quickly and you can enjoy it for longer. Should you like more challenge and excitement, you can also opt for a sportier pedal assistance which allows you to reach speeds of up to 16 kilometres per hour! This allows you to drive much faster, but be aware that the battery will drain a bit faster. Whether you want to ride hard or soft, the choice is yours!
